Which music services does Alwayssound work with?
You can save tracks, albums, and playlists from Spotify, Apple Music, Bandcamp, SoundCloud, Mixcloud, and YouTube — all into one library. Alwayssound keeps the links and details, not the audio, so every play opens in the platform the music actually lives in, at full quality. The app will be enhanced to support additional services over time.
A track won't play — what should I check?
Because playback happens in the original service, a few things can get in the way:
- Make sure you're signed in to that service (for example, an active Spotify Premium account is required for full-track Spotify playback).
- Confirm the track is still available in that region — services occasionally pull content.
Can I bring my existing library in?
Yes. Alwayssound can import what you've already saved on Spotify and Apple Music. A guided setup walks you through it in a couple of minutes.
How do I back up my library?
Your collection lives in a database on your own machine. For an off-device copy, you can turn on iCloud sync in Settings — it keeps a copy in your private iCloud account, never with us. See the Privacy Policy for the details.
Is there an iPhone or iPad version?
A mobile version of Alwayssound is currently in development.
How does the trial and pricing work?
Alwayssound is free to try on macOS. The free version lets you build a collection up to 10 items.
Where is my collection stored?
On your own machine. There's no Alwayssound server holding your library — no feeds, no algorithms, no lock-in. If you enable iCloud sync, a copy also lives in your private iCloud. The full breakdown is in the Privacy Policy.
How do I report a bug or request a feature?
Email support@alwayssound.com. For bugs, telling us your macOS version and the steps that led up to the problem helps us fix it faster. Feature ideas are always welcome, too.
